Current Decorations from the Order
Our Order grants honorific awards to those persons that distinguish themselves at the production, improvement, divulging and trading of Wine.
But, with equal commitment, we also pay homage to those who came up in the Arts, Science, Philanthropy, Humanism and Culture.
Thus, we have already decorated Plastic and Performing Artists, Scientists, Researchers, TV Show Hosts, Diplomats, Members of the Government, Writers and Entrepreneurs.
Mainly if those, in their private life, divulge the moderate and demanding use of the Wine, according to our statutory principles.
The Sovereign Order maintains the yearly prizes Eng.º Alberto Vilhena and Eng.º Magalhães Coelho, recalling the memory of these two late scientists from our region, and prizing the research in Vineyard Farming and in Enology.
